往事随风-成吉思汗庙
上世纪80年代末，我在中国预防医学科学院上研究生的第二年，参加了导师和美，法国学者合作的公共营养调查，当时需要在内蒙古选一个调查点。为了选点，我陪导师去了趟内蒙古兴安盟的乌兰浩特市，前后两星期。乌兰浩特市虽然不像我原想象那样穷，但却非常偏，只有从吉林的白城市坐火车才能进去。可就在那么一个偏僻的小城市，却有世界上唯一的一座成吉思汗庙(见图)。虽然那次出差的细节已记不清楚，但成吉思汗庙却深深地印在了我的脑海里。
那次出差，当地乌兰浩特市政府卫生部门很重视，他们那时极少有机会跟中央级别单位合作，更别提有欧美专家参与的项目合作了。他们派了防疫站的一名年轻医生全程陪同我们，还提供一台吉普车供我们使用。经过十天在内蒙草原上不同公社(乡镇)穿梭，按原计划选好了调查点。我们离开乌市前，防疫站陪同医生说，我们来一次不容易，一定要我们去参观一下他们市最有名的景点。随后开车带我们来到了成吉思汗庙，这个庙建在一个山顶上。我们一到庙的山脚下，就被庙的豪华和气派所震撼，从山脚到山顶的庙之间都是花岗岩做的台阶，一共有81级，虽然台阶数不及南京的中山陵，但庙的气势和豪华程度可以比美中山陵。庙一共有3建筑，即主建筑及两侧的附建筑，三个建筑都是很豪华漂亮的蒙古包式屋顶，主建筑里有成吉思汗的铜像，两个附建筑里是各种精致展品及壁画，成吉思汗一生介绍是用成套壁画展现出来。我和导师尤其喜欢那些壁画，仔细看了大半天，流连忘返。
我们那天去参观成吉思汗庙时，参观的人并不多，印象深刻的是有日本参观团在那里。陪同的医生告诉我们，这里的游客日本人占了很大部分，每年有不少的日本人组团或单独来这里参观，朝拜。让人惊讶的是这座庙是日本人统治(满洲国)时，在1944年建立的。文革期间被破坏，改革开放后修复，修复时日本民间又捐了不少钱。后来我了解到，日本人有很重的成吉思汗情节，在日本有成吉思汗特色饮食，甚至有学者认为成吉思汗是日本人，而实际上成吉思汗从未到过日本。日本人崇尚强者，对一代天骄成吉思汗的崇拜应该是这种崇尚的延伸罢了。
